About Us

Founded in February 2005, Bow Wow Meow is a woman-owned business based in the Lincoln Square neighborhood of Chicago.

Heather Robinson – Bow Wow Administrator, Dog Walker, Kitty Lover, Bird Bather & Good Will Ambassador

After more than a year as a Bow Wow client (for my dogs and cat), I loved the business and the clients so much that I left my job in corporate America this past summer to spend with Bow Wow full-time!

I had utilized a number of dog walking, day care and away care services over the years and was truly impressed with Bow Wow from Day One. I am confident in saying that Bow Wow continually offers the best service around, with the highest level of care and professionalism.

As Bow Wow’s owner and operator, I will ensure that we continue to provide the same unparalleled service to our amazing clients, your darlings and new members of the Bow Wow family. Please don't hesitate to e-mail me at mybowwow@gmail.com.

Amos Scattergood – Bow Wow's Own Cool Cat

Amos Scattergood grew up surfing, fishing and swimming in the Atlantic ocean off of Wellfleet Massachusetts, on Cape Cod. He lived with two cats and was surrounded by neighbor's dogs. Everyone in town seemed to have a black lab. He then went to Boston where he studied audio engineering at Massachusetts Communications Collage. After spending six years in Boston, he moved to Chicago where he lives in Andersonville.

When he’s not walking dogs, Amos enjoys listening to and recording jazz and classical music, cooking, baking and bicycling around the city.

Julie Ann Ausbrook – Bow Wow’s ‘Ms. Sunshine’

If your dog needs a bit of sunshine while you are away, Julie’s the one for you!

Julie grew-up with dogs ever since she relentlessly begged her parents for a dog when she was four years old.

She now spoils her two pets; a feisty beagle/basset mix (Daisey) and a cat (Gia, a.k.a. 'The Princess'). Julie's favorite part about walking dogs is the enthusiastic greeting that each dog offers.

What other job allows one to receive such greetings from their clients, along with the occasional sloppy kiss?

Molly Bellner – Opal’s Mom, Bow Wow Pet Care Provider & In-Home Groomer Extraordinaire

Hi! My name is Opal Ali Bellner and I am a sleek and sly one-year-old midnight black domestic medium-haired Catten. I'm a Catten because I'm not a kitten and not yet a cat (yes, exactly like the Brittany Spears song). Catten. Look it up.

I'd like to take a moment, if I may, to tell you a little bit about my wonderful mommy, Molly. My mommy is super nice. She adopted me when I was only a few weeks old and I absolutely LOVE being her only child! I guess her love for animals dates back to when she herself was only a wee tot. Her family always had pets when she was growing up back in Indiana. They had all kinds of pets; everything from dogs and cats to rabbits and chickens, rats and birds, Guinea pigs and fish, and even a pot-bellied pig! But it wasn't until mommy was about sixteen that she really got interested in working with other people's pets.

My mommy started working at a boarding and grooming shop in Indiana as a receptionist but by the time she was eighteen she was managing the kennel and became one of their top groomers! My mommy continued to work in the pet industry in Indiana where she gained a loyal clientele who even traveled across county lines just to have my mommy groom their doggies!

Last July my mommy decided to move to Chicago because she wanted to finish school and get her degree in American Sign Language English Interpretation at Columbia College. I told her that I would gladly accompany her to class every day to provide all the love I could but she told me the school didn’t allow Cattens. Lame.

My mommy now works at Bow Wow Meow where she gets to spend time with other people’s dog pals and, although she says that there will never be a Catten quite like me, cats too. She tells me she loves her job because she gets to be outside, spend time with animals and use her grooming skills!

I hope you enjoyed getting to know a little bit about me and my mommy. I’m going to go roll around in some catnip and do a little sun-bathing before dinner. Ciao!
